Triconia rufa (Boxshall & Böttger, 1987) (F,M) | |
| | | | | | Syn.: | Oncaea rufa Boxshall & Böttger, 1987 (p.553, Descr.F, figs.F); Böttger-Schnack, 1990 (p.869, tab.III); Ref. compl.: Malt & al., 1989 (p.964, 965); Böttger-Schnack, 1994 (p.277); 1995 (p.92) 1996 (p.1086); Zenetos & al., 2005 (p.63, Rem.: p.82, casual occurrence); | | | Ref.: | | | Böttger-Schnack, 1999 (p.43, 79, Redescr.F, Descr.M, figs.F,M); Böttger-Schnack & al., 2001 (p.1029, tab.1, 2); Böttger-Schnack & al., 2004 (p.1130, tab.1, Rem.); Böttger-Schnack, 2004 (p.220: tab.2); Di Capua & Boxshall, 2008 (p.1410, fig.F); Böttger-Schnack & Schnack, 2009 (p.131, Table 3, p.140: Rem.); Vives & Shmeleva, 2010 (p.347, figs.F,M, Rem.) | issued from : R. Böttger-Schnack in Mitt. hamb. zool. Mus. Inst., 1999, 96 [p.81, Fig.18]. Female (from Red Sea): A, habitus (dorsal); B, idem (lateral right side); C, genital double-somite (dorsal); D, caudal ramus (dorsal, terminal setae omitted); E, P5 (dorsal); F, P6. Nota: Proportional lengths (%) of urosomites and caudal rami 10.6:51.7:8.2:7.2:12.1:10.1. Relative lengths (%) of segments of A1 measured along posterior non-setigerous margin 6.9:22.9:43.1:11.7:4.8:11.2.
Dorsoposterior projection on the P2-bearing somite; the structure of the small dorsal hump seems to differ from the \"typical\" dorsal hump found in other species of the conifera-subgroup and in species of the sistergroup Oncaea s.str., such as O. clavei. In rufa, the hump is formed by a swelling of the exoskeleton in the middle of the somite, whreas it is a swelling of the posterior margin in T. conifera and in O. clevei and related species.

issued from : R. Böttger-Schnack in Mitt. hamb. zool. Mus. Inst., 1999, 96 [p.82, Fig.19]. Female: A, A1; B, A2 (posterior); C, Mxp; D, Md (showing individual elements); E; Mx1; F, Mx2; G, labrum (anterior); H, idem (posterior).

issued from : R. Böttger-Schnack in Mitt. hamb. zool. Mus. Inst., 1999, 96 [p.84, Fig.20]. Male (from Red Sea): A, habitus (dorsal); B, A1; C, Mxp (anterior); D, urosome (dorsal); E, idem (ventral); F, idem (lateralleft side); G, A2 (distal endopod segment, anterior). Nota: Proportional lengths (%) of urosomites and caudal rami 8.5:58.5:3.8:3.8:3.8:11.4:10.2. Relative lengths (%) of segments of A1 measured along posterior non-setigerous margin 7.2:23.9:42.2:26.7.
Males were assigned to this species on the length of the terminal accessory seta on the caudal ramus, being about equal in length to the dorsal seta

issued from : R. Böttger-Schnack in Mitt. hamb. zool. Mus. Inst., 1999, 96 [p.77, Table 3]. Morphological characters separating males of Triconia minuta, T. umerus, T.rufa and T. hawii. ODS = outer distal spine; OSDS = outer subdistal spine; endp-3 = 3th endopod segment; l = length; sex dimorph. = sexually dimorphic; GS = genital somite; P4, P5 = thoracopods 4, 5; A2 = antenna; CR = caudal rami; lat. arm = lateral armature.
