Carte de distribution de Brodskius paululus par zones géographiques
bathypélagique (800-1250 m) endopodite de Mx2 avec 6 soies (au moins 2 plumeuses), mais aucune terminée en pinceau chez la femelle; ces soies vermiformes chez le mâle in Roe (1975). Considéré comme par Roe (1975, p.367). Récemment Markhaseva & Ferrari (2005, p.124) transferent Xanthocalanus paululus dans le nouveau genre Brodskius dans la famille des Scolecitrichidae . Un doute subsiste concernant le mâle.
