Nota: The proportional lengths of cephalothorax and urosome are as 20:9. The head and 1st thoracic segment are indisrinctly separate (the line of fusion is visible on the sides and indicated on the back by a shallow furrow.

Remarques

épipélagique, littorale.
Sampling depth (sub-Antarct.) : 0-10 m.
Bradford (1978 a) estime que cette forme côtière est confinée exclusivement à la Nouvelle-Zélande.
Tanaka (1964, p.8) observe un mâle (Lg: 1,59 mm) de cette espèce au sud de l'île Marion (sub-Antarct.).
Voir remarque à Centropages typicus. Une analyse génétique serait nécessaire concernant ces deux formes.Les signalisations en Méditerranée et en Adriatique nécessitent confirmation.
