Species Calanopia seymouri - Plate 1 of morphological figuresissued from : P.P. Pillai in Curr. Sci., 1969, 38 (13). [p.318, Fig.1].
Female (from Andaman Sea): a, habitus (dorsal); b, urosome (dorsal); c, idem (lateral); d, rostrum; e, P5

Male: f, habitus (dorsal); g, urosome (dorsal); h, right A1 (segments 18 and 19-21 enlarged); i, P5; j, terminal portion of left P5 (enlarged).

Female (from Comorta and Nankowrie Islands): k, urosme (dorsal) from Calanopia australica. Compare the urosomes between the two species.

3 - Genital compound somite longer than 2nd urosomite.
4 - Caudal rami slightly asymmetrical; 2nd exopodal segment of P5 shorter than first one.
Male:
1 - Left P5 shorter than right one; basis of left P5 not swollen proximally.
2 - Prosomal posterolateral corner symmetrical.
3 - Cephalic lateral hooks present.
4 - Caudal rami symmetrical and not divergent posteriorly; 2nd exopodal segment of left P5 shorter than first one.
