Characters after Heron & al. (1984, p.479): Genital segment wth area of external genital apparatus (gonopores) located on anterior third of dorsal surface. P3 with 3rd endopod outer spine longer than any of exopod outer spines. the species resembles both E. exigua and E. vervoorti, but there appear to be specific differences between swimming appendages as well as P5 in Gordeeva's illustrations.
