Spinoncaea tenuis is synonymous with Oncaea sp. K sensu BÃ¶ttger-Schnack, Hagen & Schnack-Schiel, 2001 from the Red Sea.Â Note that the Red Sea species Oncaea sp. K was erroneously named "O. prendeli" by BÃ¶ttger-Schnack & Huys (1998).
