Cymbasoma constrictum Suarez-Morales & McKinnon, 2016 (F)
| | | | | | Ref.: | | | Suarez-Morales & McKinnon, 2016 (p.60, Descr. F, figs. F, Rem.) | Issued from : E. Suarez-Morales & A.D. McKinnon in Zootaxa, 2016, 4102. [p.62, Fig.36]. Female (from 18°48.78'S, 147°39.30'E): A-B, habitus (dorsal and lateral, respectively); C, cephalic region (dorsal); D, same (lateral); E, urosome (lateral); F, P5 (ventral). Scale bars: A, B = 200 µm; C-E = 100 µm; F, 50 µm. Nota: Cephalothorax representing 55 % of total body length. - Midventral oral papilla moderately protuberant, located at 33 % of cephalothorax length. - Pair of relatively small ocelli, pigment cups medially separated by about one eye diameter, weakly pigmented; ventral cup larger than lateral cups. - Frontal sensilla absent. - Urosome consisting of 5th pedigerous somite, genital double-somite, anal somite, together representing 19 % of total body length. Relative lengths of urosomites 26.5 : 41.2 : 32.3 = 100. - Genital double-somite with constriction; posterior half expanded forming rounded lateral peotuberances. - Ovigerous spines paires, separated at base, relatively short, 45 % of total body length (caudal rami not included). - Anal somite constricted medially, anterior half. - Caudal rami divergent, subrectangular, about 1.3 times as long as wide, armed with 3 subequally long caudal setae. - A1 short, thick, representing about 17 % of total body length and 32 % of cephalothorax length; 4-segmented.

Issued from : E. Suarez-Morales & A.D. McKinnon in Zootaxa, 2016, 4102. [p.63, Fig.37]. Female: A, cephalic region (ventral); B, left A1 (dorsal); C, P1; D, P3; E, urosome (dorsal); F, same with P5 (ventral). Scale bars: A, C-F = 100 µm; B = 50 µm. Nota: P5 medially conjointed, bilobate. Outer (exopodal) lobe cylindrical, distally truncate, barely reaching beyond posterior margin of 5th pedigerous somite; armed with 3 apical subequally long setae. Inner lobe arising from middle inner margin of outer lobe , thumb-like, almost reaching midlength of exopodal lobe.

Distribution map of Cymbasoma constrictum by geographical zones
|
| | | Loc: | | | E Australia (Davies Reef, Queensland)
Type locality: 18°48.78' S, 147°39.30' E. | | | N: | 1 | | | Lg.: | | | (1198)* F: 1,31; {F: 1,31} | | | Rem.: | For Suarez-Morales & McKinnon (2016, p.117) the species closely resembles the Australian C. constrictum in the body proportions and structure, but the shape of cephalothorax, the A1, the eyes, the length of anal somite, the 5th pedigerous somite, differ in both species. | | | Last update : 04/10/2016
