Female (from 24°54'S, 44°26'W): 5, habitus (dorsal); 6, P5; 7, urosome (lateral).

Male: P5.
Nota: distal segment of exopodite of right P5 with a long apical seta (similar to H. abyssalis); inner margin of exopodite 2 of right P5 with a pilose protuberance ( more important than Sars, 1905 and H. austrinus Farran, 1929).

Vervoort (1965, p.118), following Sars (1925, p.226) considers this form a synonymy of Heterorhabdus norvegicus, which is contested by Gaudy (1963).
